World Mental Health Day 10/10

October 8, 2019

World Mental Health Day is a day for global mental health education, awareness and advocacy.

1 in 5 Australians are affected by mental illness, yet many don’t seek help because of stigma.

The 2019 World Mental Health Day campaign challenges perceptions about mental illness and encourages everyone to look at mental health in a more positive light. This can help to reduce stigma and increase help-seeking, so that people with mental illness get the support they deserve.

Patients can always talk to a General Practitioner at Bulli Medical Practice about any mental health concerns.

On the poster below are some other ways to reduce stigma and improve your mental health. For advice and further information visit 10/10 World Mental Health Day or Wayahead NSW.
